Since the Kickstarter launch, we’ve been receiving messages filled with excitement and curiosity, and it reminds us how deeply the Vectrex is tied to so many memories… The activity on our socials has been so intense that posting updates here has become a challenge, yet we wanted to share at least one solid recap with you!
The Kickstarter Launch Was Crazy
The launch on November 3 brought far more people than we expected. The early-bird tiers vanished in under a minute. The site slowed down because of the traffic and we know some of you felt a bit frustrated. We really wanted that moment to go smoothly for everyone, even if it slipped out of our control…
What happened right after left us speechless. The goal was reached in twelve minutes and doubled in ninety. During the first forty-eight hours more than three thousand people joined the adventure. Today the project is marked as a “Project We Love” on Kickstarter and has already gathered more than four thousand backers. Watching the community gather around the Mini feels amazing because every new supporter adds something that gives the project even more heart. The campaign kept growing as you shared posts, talked about the Mini, and brought new people in. It created a momentum filled with nostalgia and a warm kind of excitement. Each day brings its own dose of energy.
Stretch Goals Unlocked So Far
Together, we’ve already unlocked several stretch goals that add even more character to the Vectrex Mini.
1. Animated Sleep Mode – A lively standby mode with vector animations.
2. Fake Vectrex Cartridge – A decorative piece shaped like a classic cartridge that fits in the microSD slot area.
3. Overlay Storage Box – A game-style case designed to store overlays safely.
4. Exclusive Sticker Wraps – Sticker wraps that let you decorate the Vectrex Mini completely.
5. Two Additional Built-in Games – Extend the Vectrex Mini library to fourteen built-in titles.
6. Dust Cover – A protective grey fabric cover inspired by the original Vectrex dust cover.
The next stretch goal will add a brand-new game created especially for the Vectrex Mini. It’s close, and every bit of support helps us move toward it.
