The Vectrex, that iconic vector-based console, has never stopped capturing the hearts of enthusiasts. Thanks to the homebrew scene, it continues to be enriched with original titles. Love Bytes, a compilation by Chris of BinaryStar, is a brilliant example: a tribute to love expressed through five funny, frantic, or downright wacky mini-games. All presented in a beautifully crafted package: cartridge, box, and manual included.

Five Games, Five Ways to Fall in Love
With Love Bytes, you’ll dive into a world of vector-based emotions across five mini-games: Heartbreaker, Love Connection, Thunderstruck, It’s Raining Men, and Split The G. Each one offers unique gameplay, focusing alternately on cooperation, reflexes, or precision.

Heartbreaker
In this first game of the compilation, you play as either Spike or Molly, firing projectiles to break hearts and diamonds floating around the screen. These objects bounce off the edges and can hit you… one hit and you’re out! A tense and demanding game where every shot matters.
Love Connection
In this one- or two-player game, Spike and Molly must stay close to maintain their “love connection”. Together, they collect hearts and avoid broken ones while fleeing from Spud, the jealous rival. If their bond stays strong, they can even push Spud back temporarily… but he always comes back. A highly entertaining co-op game that demands coordination and timing.
Thunderstruck
Run, dodge, and collect! In this frantic arcade game, each lightning spark you pick up boosts your score, but just one lightning strike and it’s game over. A simple yet effective gameplay experience, perfectly balanced in intensity.
It’s Raining Men!
As a Ferris wheel operator, you must catch the men falling from the sky before they crash to the ground. Each successful rescue strengthens your wheel, but each bomb or missed catch destroys a gondola. The game ends when all gondolas are gone.
Split The G!
Inspired by a well-known pub game, your goal is to “split the G” of a pint of Guinness by aligning the bottom of the foam exactly with the center of the “G.” A quirky game that turns a toast into a video game challenge.

Vector Feelings
With Love Bytes, Chris from BinaryStar once again proves that the Vectrex is more alive than ever. This original, varied, and humorous compilation is a true love letter to the console and its community. A collectible to treasure and to play without moderation.
