Paris Games Week 2025 was once again a major event for French gamers. Between new releases, cosplay, and reunions, it brought together thousands of enthusiasts at the Porte de Versailles exhibition center. This year, we had the opportunity to showcase the Vectrex Mini on the MO5 booth, right at the heart of the retro gaming area. It was a unique occasion to show French visitors how far our project has come, just a few days before the Kickstarter launch.

A much-anticipated presence on the MO5 booth

We took part in the opening night as well as the weekend of November 1st and 2nd. The reception was fantastic. The MO5 team, always so welcoming, once again highlighted the diversity and richness of French video games. Surrounded by arcade cabinets and legendary consoles, our little Vectrex corner drew plenty of attention. Visitors had the chance to compare the gameplay experience between an original Vectrex and the Vectrex Mini prototypes we had brought along.

We hadn’t planned any big exclusives this time, as all our energy is currently focused on finalizing the Kickstarter, which goes live on November 3rd. Still, that didn’t stop visitors from spending a lot of time playing on the machines and chatting with us about the project’s technical details.

Prototypes closer than ever to the final model

For this edition, we brought two original Vectrex units and three Mini prototypes, each with its own tweaks. We worked in particular on the brightness and line thickness management, as well as on the light halo surrounding the vectors. These adjustments give a more faithful and smoother display, while also being easier on the eyes.

The controllers were improved as well. We fixed some minor synchronization issues that could occur during previous showcases. These are subtle but important refinements to ensure an experience true to the spirit of the original console while offering modern comfort.

Great encounters, French style

This PGW was also filled with unforgettable meetings. We were delighted to see several well-known figures from the French gaming scene. A big thank you to Korben, Marcus (Game One), our friend Douglas (currently writing the book on the history of the Vectrex!), and many others. We even had a visit from Brigitte Lecordier (french voice of Son Goku), whose presence brought a genuine smile to everyone on the booth. Moments like these remind us how lively, curious, and kind-hearted the French gaming community is.

A weekend driven by passion

Between the demos, technical discussions, and photo sessions, these three days flew by. Huge thanks again to everyone who stopped by and to the MO5 team for their warm welcome.

See you soon for more adventures!
